To celebrate a new year (and his close friendship with Chinese pop
superstar Eason Chan), Jeremy Scott and adidas Originals have release a
special, limited edition of his iconic JS Wings.
Jeremy’s new JS Wings design is inspired by Eason’s style and passion
for music. Eason, the king of Cantopop and a fashion icon in his own
right, is famous for his eclectic style both on and off the stage. The
combination of these two fashion icons from opposite sides of the globe
has resulted in a fresh design for adidas Originals.
The new JS Wings are inspired by rich Asian colors and luxurious
silks. Jeremy has combined classical traditional Chinese elements with
his iconic design style, using a royal blue silk base with embroidered
flowers and an embroidered wing. This release demonstrates the attention
to detail that Jeremy’s fans have come to expect from him.
This project is the latest stage in Jeremy’s exploration into Chinese
pop culture, guided by Eason. As Jeremy’s fondness for Chinese culture
has evolved, so has Eason’s respect for Jeremy and his work. This
particular collaboration has involved deliberation over many aspects of
the shoes’ design, from colors to materials. The result is a product of
cultural fusion representing both Jeremy Scott’s and Eason Chan’s unique
tastes in fashion.
A limited edition of 100 pairs of JS Wings CNY will be available at the official adidas online store from
December 13, 2012. JS Wings CNY will be launched exclusively in China
on January 1, 2013, followed by a global roll-out starting on January 15
at selected adidas Originals stores and wholesale partners. The
